Born on December 3, 1975, in Davenport, Iowa, Danielle grew up in a Jehovah's Witness household. Before joining "American Pickers," she was involved in various creative pursuits, including owning a roller derby team called the Big Mouth Mickies and performing as a burlesque dancer under the stage name "Dannie Diesel." Colby has also owned and operated several businesses, including a retro clothing boutique called 4 Miles 2 Memphis. She has a particular interest in the history of burlesque dancing and has collected vintage costumes and memorabilia related to the art form.
