Initially building his reputation as a stunt performer in high-profile films such as Braveheart (1995), The Mummy (1999), Troy (2004), Batman Begins, Snatch (2000) doubling Brad Pitt, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005), and The Dark Knight Rises (2012), he later transitioned into stunt coordination and action choreography. Southworth took on key roles as stunt coordinator or assistant coordinator on a slew of major productions.
