His father was a merchant seaman,who lived in New York for several years,after bumping into his first cousin, late, Billy washington,who,s daughter was the late, Actor Patrica Hardy married to Late, Actor Richard Egan,his father on returning to Liverpool met james,s mother Anastasia.he has four sisters and one brother,but sadly lost a younger sister Shirley Marie in her twenties to a heart condition.at xmas 1983 whilst his parents were visiting relatives in Australia.,and strangely he was performing in "The Land of OZ"as the "Tin Woodman".
