It was there that Jay was exposed to both world cinema and experimental non-narrative filmmaking while studying with avant-garde luminary Stan Brakhage. This unconventional approach to cinema set the tone for his future career in the film industry which has taken many eclectic twists and turns. Jay has served as Cinematographer as well as Director on a multitude of feature films, episodic television shows and unscripted television series since moving to Los Angeles in 2001.
