He double major in English and Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia. He is a fomer Senior Editor of American Idol Magazine, and the author of American Idol: The Journey to Stardom published by Meredith Books in 2007. His first short film, Favourite People List, was released in 2009. His second book, Beyoncé Smells like Unicorns and Other Tales of the World’s Pop Divas, was released exclusively on iTunes in July 2017. Alongside writing, Murray is Principal of the Vancouver-based digital promotions agency West Sixth Creative.
