Saeki Kenzo (佐伯健三) is a Japanese singer. He was the vocalist of HALMENS. He also has a live band he performs with called Saeki Kenzo & Boogie The Mach Motors, they have not released any studio releases. Saeki was born in Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture. He started as a musician using kanji but changed his name to Katakana and hiragana due to a stroke counting fortune telling. He was the vocalist for Pearl Brothers, a Japanese rock unit formed in 1983. As a lyricist, he has written lyrics for many artists. He became a rock fanatic in elementary school, and from the fifth grade onwards he frequented Disk Union. He entered Chiba University's Faculty of Education affiliated junior high school, where he was greatly influenced by a Happy End concert. He went on to Chiba Prefectural Chiba High School. During high school, he formed Homelands with Higae and Ishihara, a band with no fixed members. Koji Ueno (a year younger than him at the same high school, and who would later join the Halmens ) also participated as a support member.
