He began his artistic career with the troupes of Abdel Rahman Rushdi and George Abyad, and then worked with Youssef Wahbi in his troupe. He also worked with Mounira al-Mahdiyya, and starred in numerous films during the 1930s and 1940s, including: (Bisalamtuh Ayez Yitgawz, Al-Bashkawil, Law Kont Ghani, Intisar al-Shabab, and Al-Arees al-Khamis).
