She began her career in 1960 and achieved her first major solo hit with "Burbuja azul." Her biggest success came in 1967 with the song "¡Qué suerte!" She made her television debut in 1962 on Canal 7 and appeared in several films, including "Fiebre de primavera" (1967). Throughout the 1960s and beyond, she continued recording hit songs like "Colorado" and "El baile del ladrillo." She was married to fellow singer Néstor Fabián (José Cotelo) from 1967, with whom she had a daughter. Rivas passed away on June 23, 2018, in Buenos Aires due to renal failure.
