3 Dead Trick or Treaters Synopsis

After stumbling upon the graves of three murdered trick or treaters, a small town paperboy discovers a series of handwritten horror stories tacked to the children's headstones. Penned by a deranged pulp author driven mad by his craft, the stories chronicle grisly tales of Halloween rites, rituals and traditions. Absent of dialogue and heavy on atmosphere, 3 Dead Trick or Treaters is a horror anthology unlike any you've seen before.

Directed by Canadian director Torin Langen from Candle Flame Films filmed in 2016... this was a game changing anthology mute of dialogue with some chilling visuals of five tales. Wraparound being titled "The Delivery" we are led to believe this young man delivers newspapers to a farming community and this young man notices the pile of rolled newspapers unopened seeing smashed pumpkins on the ground that lead into a small plot of land with three graves with handwritten statements of how each Trick or Treater was killed. Though I probably would have enjoyed this anthology more if it had dialogue it was definitely very different learning the reasons behind these mysterious deaths by actions and expressions along with some sounds.... I did not expect to be entertained when i could hear nothing and now that an anthology has done this creative mood you can expect to see more probably in it's vain. I felt on a whole the film was unique and is kind of it's own creature of a film for going the direction it did. I think as far as the film community goes this was definitely a great achievement as I'm not entirely sure an anthology had been filmed this way as of yet... the film was well shot the stories were weird and think you as a viewer will have to decide if it's worth a watch in the end. I think it was and yes I'd recommend it to others as I feel even though it wasn't entirely what I was expecting I feel that others I know would think it was fantastic visually.
