DREAM.16 took place on September 25, 2010, at Nippon Gaishi Hall in Nagoya, Japan, promoted by Fighting and Entertainment Group’s DREAM. The main event features Gegard Mousasi facing Tatsuya Mizuno in the Light Heavyweight Grand Prix final to crown the first DREAM Light Heavyweight Champion, with Mousasi coming off a submission win over Jake O’Brien and Mizuno advancing via TKO against Melvin Manhoef at DREAM.15.
