Critic Reviews for Fauve
Excellent!
“Tyler” (Félix Grenier) and his friend “Ben” (Alexandre Perreault) are larking around playing a game where the first to six points wins. The rules? Well there don’t really seem to be any, but what we do know is that “Ben” is winning! They head from a dilapidated old train into an open quarry where the latter lad gets himself stuck in some quicksand. Initially, “Tyler” thinks it’s all a wheeze, but as his friend sinks lower he realises that getting some help might be an idea. The two performances from these boys is convincingly friendly, mischievous, natural and innocent and I felt pretty sure I knew how this was going to conclude - I was wrong.
