This is actually quite a surprisingly different version of the American "coming of age" gay film. We get all the usual athletic, pretty, boy meets boy in the closet thing; but the storyline veers off onto a much more empowering and joyous track. No bad language, drugs - not even really any romance. There isn't a specifically happy ending for our hero - it's just a chapter in the lives of these gay (and straight) kids dealing with growing up and being free and tolerant. Cameron Deane Stewart and Andrew Caldwell stand out. Give it a go...
