Story Breakdown

This character-driven narrative explores the internal and external conflicts that define the human experience. Judith leads a double life between Switzerland and France. On the one hand Abdel, with whom she is raising a little girl, on the other Melvil with whom she has two older boys. Little by little, this fragile balance, made up of lies, secrets and back and forth, cracks dangerously. Trapped, Judith chooses to head forward, at the risk of losing everything. The screenplay takes time to develop Virginie Efira's journey, allowing audiences to connect emotionally with their struggles and triumphs. Each scene builds upon the last, creating a cumulative emotional impact.

Narrative Structure

• Opening Hook: We meet Virginie Efira as Judith Fauvet in their ordinary world, establishing the emotional baseline before the inciting incident disrupts their life. Antoine Barraud builds this foundation carefully, and over its 102-minute runtime, the pacing proves deliberate.
