Critic Reviews for Permanent Midnight
4/10 Jerry Stahl is a complete junkie. He tells his life story to a fellow rehabber after she picks him up at his fast food job. Through conversational flashbacks we get glimpses of how Jerry wrecks his life. **Uninspiring. Stale. Meandering.** Jerry as well as all the other characters have no background, and they are completely flat. Perhaps a social commentary on the LA Scene, yet that has been done better elsewhere. Interesting to see Stiller as a junkie, but thats the best part.
