Critic Reviews for Pittsburgh
I would like to be fair with this movie. It isn't that it's depressing or bad. It's just on the dull side. Considering that it stars the Duke and Randolph Scott, one expects a lot more "activity". One doesn't have to have "action", but one needs "activity", and this semi Western is too much like a soap opera. It isn't a "guy movie". It is one that a guy gives in to the gal to go see, to make the gal happy. That's about it. Three mega stars in the top roles, and that's the problem. All three are expected to be center stage, and that needs some clever writing. Now, the writing may be clever enough, but it is just too dull to really know.
