The VHS series of found footage horror flicks have been a campy, at times gruesome, carnival ride over the years. Its been a bumpy ride too, with inconsistent scripts, that range from decent to downright awful. Thankfully the latest iteration VHS Beyond is one of the good ones'. Its zany, out there, splattery but intelligently thought through and novel enough, to keep you watching from start to finish. I thought the opening tale was particularly well done, whilst the whole dog thing (watch and you'll see what I mean), was certainly pretty weird. In summary, VHS Beyond is one of the better VHS franchise flicks. If you like this sort of overstated, out there horror, its definitely worth a look.
