Critic Reviews for Wasting Away
Who knew eating some bright green ice cream can lead to the zombie apocalypse? This horror comedy is definitely a zombie movie that is not like the others. The way they do the POV of those not infected are pretty awesome. With the way they talk about super soldier serum got me wondering if this would be the experiment gone wrong for Captain America. There are some decent comedic moments in this movie and also some good effects as well. As much as this is comedic and almost a low budget kind of feel to it, the story is actually pretty good and different. The zombie horror sub genre can get watered down and boring with all the same formula type of movies out there. Movies like this helps keep it alive...or rather undead for others to see. Overall, the movie is good but it won't win people over to go digging for this undead movie. This movie can be nicely paired with FIDO (2005) if you care looking for "zombie are humans too" aspect with some comedic fun.
